The Highlights
Entry Fee: $40.00 (US) per person includes commerative tenugui and bento.

This is a team tournament followed by two individuals divisions (kyu and dan) and all participants should be about 16 years of age or older. (Participants younger than 16 years of age must be at least 2 Kyu or above.) Federations/dojos can enter up to two teams and after the taikai there will be a party at the hotel across the street. The party after the taikai at the hotel is free to all participants, dinner to be provided by the PNKF women. A collection will be taken up at the taikai for some of the beverages.

Now available online, just print out, mail in or hand deliver to Jeff Marsten Sensei by May 26, 2010 to participate in the seminar with Marsten Sensei and Katsura Sensei during the week of June 19-June 25th. Click here to download the Women’s Kendo Seminar Form and Waiver.

Seminar Fee: $50 full seminar or $10 per day, age 13 years and up.

Fall around Seattle

If you’re into hiking and nature, yeah, we’ve got that. Nevermind that the tournament is literally right on the Green River and we’re the Evergreen state for a reason, cause we’ve got a couple of recommended out-of-Seattle waterfalls for you to visit!

Snoqualmie Falls- Hike around there or just go do the 1/4 mile hike down to the base. Just like any hike, flip flops are not recommended for this downhill adventure.

Franklin Falls- For an easy 1-mile hike through Northwest forest, a beautiful waterfall, and fun playing in a stream, this hike won’t disappoint.

More curious than two? Check out the Washington Trails Association, there’s loads of info on places to walk, hike, bike and climb!

See “Sleepless in Seattle” boathouse community, luxury lakeside houses along Lake Washington, and the beautiful nature around the lake.

Seattle Dining Cruise
Dinner cruise with a view of the Seattle city scape.

Boeing Plant Tour
See how an airplane gets built.
(NOTE: Kids must be at least 4 feet tall. No babies.)

The Ballard Locks and Salmon Ladder
Where Puget Sound salt water and Lake Washington fresh water meet. Beautiful park adjacent to the locks, watch this miniature Panama Canal in action.

Seaplane Tour
See Seattle by air, also offering private tours.

Seattle Market Ghost Tour
Walk around Pike Place Market at dusk and check out the local poltergeists. Plus, the um, gum wall. Where the tour starts. Try not to be too grossed out.
